Hell Freezes Over!

This is a post to acknowledge the fact that my Mom and Dad figured out how to comment to the blog...Way to Go! This is a big day in US history, like Ben Franklin discovering electricity, Alexander Graham Bell inventing the telephone, or the invention of the microwave. Mark this date May 2nd, 2009, it will be in grade school history books for years to come.

  1. Well well, Johnnie Heine! Hope you're hanging in there buddy.....just got a chance to catch up on your blog today finally (I've never read a blog before....I feel like your Mom & Dad). What's up with this new-fangled technology gizmo? :) Sounds like a great idea as it gives you and Jamie a way to keep everyone up to speed without having to tell the same story over and over! I'm sure it gives you something to do to pass the time too, that is great.

Sounds like your are getting along pretty well with your treatment so far. I can't pretend to imagine how difficult it is, but if anyone can handle it I know it's you (and Jamie of course!). I'm letting my girlfriend Lisa decipher all the medical mumbo-jumbo since she's been through med school :)

The best thing about this, of course, is that you get fully exposed to the Yankee games. Maybe someday you'll understand that they are the greatest sports franchise in the history of the world for a reason...haha!

Well, I wanted to drop you a message at least. I'll try to give you a call...not really sure what are good times but we'll catch each other. Of course you can always try to give me a call whenever to pass the time too.....another west coaster who will still be up when it's 2 am there!

    Talk to you soon man.

P.S. I think you should hum "Wildcat Victory" next time :) Oh yeah, Rettig saw Simone Pony the other day and heard you were going thru this. He wanted me to tell "John Hire" that he hopes you're doing well.

  2. Hi John,
I just wrote a pretty long note that I was unable to send because I didn't register properly. I will make this one short, so I can see if this one will make it.
I can't believe all you have been through and how much you have been able to share with us.
All of our friends are continuing to pray for you. You are in a number of prayer groups in the area.
You look good in the pictures. Tell jamie to keep up the good work. Being a caregiver can be very tiring. Take it from one who knows.
I will share more about our family when I know that this is able to be sent.
    Love you lots.

    Aunt Mo and Uncle Pat
